The Aquarian Teacher Certification program is open both to yoga students ready to become teachers and to those who wish to immerse themselves in the science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
This certification is internationally recognized and exceeds Yoga Alliance standards, and will qualify you for the YA Registered Yoga Teacher Certificate, RYT (200).
This program is based on the comprehensive science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
The Aquarian Teacher program is the KRI Level One Certification program in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. In Level One you will become an instructor and learn the fundamental principles and practices of Kundalini Yoga. You will develop the skills to instruct students in Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations as taught by Yogi Bhajan. You will practice teaching Kundalini Yoga in a practicum setting, participate in early morning sadhanas (spiritual practice), and experience the powerful transformational energy of White Tantric Yoga.
Graduates are certified as KRI Level One Instructors.
This comprehensive 220+ hour training includes 180 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of home study in a well defined curriculum which includes:
- Teaching Kundalini yoga kriyas and meditation
- Study of breath (pranayam), postures (asanas), sound (mantra), and meditation to awaken your body, mind and spirit
- Yogic philosophy + the origin of Kundalini yoga
- Yogic and western anatomy
- How to develop daily yoga practice (sadhana)
- How to deal with stress using yogic relaxation techniques
- Exploring sound + mantra
- How to develop a meditative mind
- Practical class preparation
- Humanology + 3HO yogic lifestyle
- Role + ethics of a Kundalini yoga teacher
Early registration by October 31st. $3300
Regular registration after October 31st $3600
Cost includes: tuition, KRI certification, and IKYTA membership. Cost does not include airfare, meals, accommodation or transportation costs. Students are responsible for their own airfare and transportation to and from the location.
*Refund policy: All requests to withdraw from the certification course must be received in writing. Those withdrawing by November 17 are eligible for a refund. Those withdrawing after November 17th, 2016, but before the start of the 2nd weekend, are eligible for a refund, minus $500, and prorated sections of the course already taken. There will be no refunds after the start of the 2nd weekend.
Evaluation is based on successfully meeting the Aquarian Teacher Training course requirements including, but not limited to:
- Attendance at all classes
- Satisfactory practicum assessment + passing grade on written examination
- Current professional membership with IKYTA
- Completion of 20 Kundalini Yoga classes
- Completion of the assigned 40 day kriya or mediation
- Creation of two yoga course curricula
- Attendance at a White Tantric Yoga course within one year of the end of your course. Please know you will not receive your certificate until all requirements are completed. - Proper representation of The Code of Ethics & Professional Standards of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher

Sea Cliff is a 45 minute train ride from Manhattan on the Long Island Rail Road: Penn Station to Manhasset.
From the Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn it is a 1 hour journey.

Your Lead Trainers...
Guru Dharam has taught Kundalini yoga since 1979. He founded the Lotus Healing Centre, a multidisciplinary holistic facility, in London in 1989 and served as the Vice Principal of the London Academy of Oriental Medicine until 1997. His formal qualifications have been complemented by intensive post graduate interdisciplinary study of the esoteric; Kabbalah, MesoAmerican Shamanic Dreaming, West African healing practice and many years study of Tibetan medicine (the Mastery Path, White Lotus healing, Black Hat Feng Shui and the Red Thread empowerments). Since 1980 Guru Dharam has developed a practical system of Yogic Therapy, applying the science of Kundalini, mantra and visualization, helping to empower many thousands of people toward a healthier and happier life. As Director of the Kundalini Medicine initiative Guru Dharam has developed the International Kundalini Yoga Therapy Training as a safe, effective and therapeutic complement to the mechanics of western medical practice. Guru Dharam is recognized as a highly experienced Teacher taught directly by Yogi Bhajan. He is registered as a KRI Mentoring Lead Teacher Trainer. (Levels one and two)
Siri Sat Kaur embodies an elegant and precise approach to the teachings of Kundalini Yoga. She has an international profile and has extensive experience teaching in a wide variety of arenas. She is a Lead Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer with a specialty in Posture and Alignment, informed and enhanced by her work as a professional dancer and choreographer, and her classical yoga practice.
Siri Sat is the Founder/Director of Kundalini Yatras Inc., leading meditative journeys to sacred lands such as India and Mexico.
She is also a coordinator of the Kundalini Medicine Yoga Therapy Training worldwide and a Kundalini Yoga therapist well grounded in energetic healing.
She is known for teaching with clarity and impact as well as warmth and a sense of humor.
Randhir Singh has been teaching Kundalini Yoga in New York City and internationally since 2006. He is a professional Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer, studies with Guru Dharam, and is a staff teacher at Golden Bridge New York.
